12 Detox Juices
1. Matcha Mango Pineapple Smoothie
This is such a great recipe to wake you up and energize you for your day. Matcha green tea is so healthy for you. One glass is equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of antioxidant content and nutritional value. It’s a cancer fighting, fat burning and metabolism enhancing machine loaded with vitamin C, Chromium, Zinc, and Magnesium. It will also help your body fight against any viruses and bacteria’s and lowers cholesterol and blood sugar. It’s also known to enhance moods and aid in concentration and alertness.
The matcha in the title means that you’re getting the real deal green tea that is used in Japanese tea ceremonies. Talk about a big boost of antioxidants, this smoothie can’t help but be green because of the tea.
The benefits of the pineapple:
Mango really lends a hand with additional vitamins and nutrients that are tough to find in other fruit choices. You’re left with a tropical-tasting blast of antioxidants that will be of great help to your body.
• 1.25 Teaspoon Matcha green tea
• 1 cup Mango
• 1 cup Pineapple
• 1/2 to 1 cups water (depending on how thick you like your smoothies).
2. Pomegranate Pineapple Lemon Juice
Pomegranate is surging and popularity recently, and it’s not surprising to see why. It’s a great detox food, containing more antioxidants than green tea.
Green tea has pretty much set the benchmark as far as antioxidants go, so this is pretty impressive.
There’s also pineapple in this, so you’re going to get some sweetness and the extra vitamins it contains.
The lemon will help rev up your metabolism, and balance out the sweet flavors.
- 1 cup Chopped Pineapple
- 1/2 cup Pomegranate juice
- 1 ½ cup Water
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 inch piece of Ginger
How to make:
In a blender combine everything except pomegranate juice and blend together to form a smooth consistency and strain through the strainer and set aside. To Pineapple lemon ginger mixtures mix in Pomegranate juice.
3. Love Your Greens Juice
If you dislike the idea of eating your greens, this recipe is designed to get you to like them again.
Since you won’t have to chew them up, just drink them down; you can get all of your greens in just a few seconds.
But the other part of this recipe is that they want you to enjoy your greens, so they’ve added some Lemon to help the greens taste better. With Cucumber, Spinach, Collards you’re getting plenty of phytonutrients, as well as hydration.
Your body will thank you, and several organs will benefit from this concoction.
- 4 cups baby spinach
- ½ head of collards (about 6 leaves)
- 1 English cucumber
- ½ bunch of parsley (about 1 cup lightly packed)
- ½ bunch of cilantro (about ½ cup lightly packed)
- Juice from ½ lemon
How to make:
If you have a ‘low’ setting on your juicer, juice all items in the recipe but the lemon juice. When complete, add lemon juice, stir and enjoy!
4. Super Hydration Juice
When it comes to detoxing the body one of the first steps that is often recommended is to hydrate the body. Most people are dehydrated to some extent due not only to the lack of water intake, but also the drinking of dehydrating beverages like coffee and soda.
Here’s a way to introduce hydration back into the equation, boosting metabolism, flushing toxins, and providing nutrients from ingredients like strawberries and apples. Keep it organic for better detoxifying effects.
- 2-3 organic cucumbers, large
- 2 organic apples
- 1/4 organic beet
- Organic mint, to taste.
How to make:
Juice everything together in your juicer. Pour into two glasses with ice. Add a couple sprigs of mint for a garnish. Enjoy!
The beet I added just added a pretty colour – so this is totally optional!
5. Red And Green Festive Cocktail
Any time you mix kale with pomegranate you are doing a huge service to your body and your well-being. The antioxidants in the pomegranate will help battle free radicals, and the kale provides fiber, protein, and phytochemicals. Additional antioxidants are found in cranberries, with a pear added for sweetness. The use of mint gives this a fresh taste, and they say you can add stevia, an all-natural sweetener until it tastes good to you.
Festive Cranberry, Pomegranate and Kale Detox Juice.
This is the refreshing, naturally sweet and nourishing juice that combines some key produce of the season, with just a hint of optional mint for an additional festive touch.
- 4-6 large leaves kale, as you like (add more for more detox properties)
- 1 cup (240 ml) pomegranate arils (from one large ripe pomegranate)
- 1 cup (240 ml) fresh cranberries
- 1 pear, cored
- One knob (about 1 inch or 2.5 cm) fresh ginger, peeled
- 6-12 leaves of fresh mint, optional
- Stevia, to taste.
How to make:
Place ingredients in juicer one at a time (I reserved the pomegranate seeds for the end, as their high fiber content pushes out anything else left in the juicer mechanism), strain if desired, and serve immediately.
Makes 2 servings.
6. Rainbow Veggie Juice
OK, so it doesn’t really look like a rainbow once you’re finished making this, but the vegetable lineup before you juice them definitely reads like the colors of the rainbow.
You’ve got red from tomatoes and peppers, orange from carrots, yellow from lemons, green from celery, parsley, romaine, and cilantro. All that’s missing is something blue, but not too many foods fit that bill. This is a fantastic way to group your daily allowance of veggies into one yummy juice.
As it happens, in real life, “tasting the rainbow” does not taste like Skittles. This is okay. Nothing natural should taste like Skittles. That would be unsettling. Instead, it’s both sweet and a little bit spicy.
- 1-2 red bell peppers, seeded and sliced
- 4 tomatoes, sliced
- 3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 heads of romaine lettuce
- 1 bunch of celery
- Large handful of parsley
- Large handful of cilantro
- 1 English cucumber, peeled and chopped
- 2 lemons, peeled
- 1 inch of ginger root
How to make:
Juice all of your lovely veggies. Give your juice a good stir. Put it in mason jars. Drink it as soon as possible, not waiting longer than 48 hours!
7. Golden Detox Drink
This is what I drink upon rising and I really try to make this every day. When I do, my day starts off right and it seems like everything just falls into place.
Turmeric and its major active ingredient curcumin are among the top most clinically studied spices today with many many positive effects on our body’s. Turmeric is not only a metabolism boosting spice; it also contains detoxifying power, helping the liver break down toxic chemicals.
The chili, turmeric, ginger and lemon all kicks in to both strengthen and awaken your digestive & immune system, the heart, skin etc.
The black pepper helps increasing the bioavailibility of the turmeric so that’s a great addition.
Ginger also adds cleansing qualities, and organic lemon juice with cayenne pepper is reminiscent of the detox lemonade diet.
The overall effect is you’re getting a powerful blend of spices with just enough sweetness added to make it taste good and keep you drinking it. The boiling makes sure that all of the ingredients get equally dispersed.
This drink is a real anti-inflammatory and cleansing one and when you start incorporating this routine in your life you will notice great effects.

8. Whole Food Spicy Green “Juice”
If you don’t like to eat spinach, but know you should because of all of its impressive health benefits, this is a pretty good compromise. You’re using a copious amount of it, and adding in other ingredients like cucumbers and ginger to make sure that you get a well-rounded experience.
The spice comes from the ginger, so if you’re not a fan, you can take it out but then you’re missing out on its cleansing effect. Overall this is a refreshing beverage that you can use to detox, or just as a pick-me-up when you need it.
It’s not truly a recipe, more of a guideline. I didn’t measure. If you don’t have something, just omit it or substitute something else. I opted to not make it sweet – if you want it sweeter, feel free to throw some apple in there. Or stevia. Whatever floats your boat. My version is spicy, refreshing, and invigorating. I like it that way – it’s an excellent way to jump-start my morning.
- 2 big handfuls of spinach
- About 1/4 cup parsley
- 1 stalk celery, cut into chunks
- 1 small cucumber, peeled
- 1 inch piece of ginger, peeled
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Enough water to blend
How to make:
Place all ingredients into a high-powered blender. Blend until everything is smooth and frothy. Drink immediately, as this “juice” will separate.
Note: If you don’t have a high-powered blender, you can use a regular blender, but it may take quite a bit longer to get everything smooth and all of the small bits might not be blended completely.
9. Love Your Liver Juice
The liver is the crux to your detoxing program, so anything that makes it happy is going to provide you with the results you seek. Here they’ve singled out the liver in this juice, and are sending massive amounts of vitamins and minerals that are specifically geared towards helping it function optimally. Item one on the list is beets, and if you haven’t looked into this amazing superfood you should, it’s worth the read and it’s worth going out of your way to make sure you’re getting it.
This juice promotes the flow of bile and fat to and from the liver. The liver is the most important organ for metabolism and detoxification so if you are looking to lose weight and clean up your system, this juice is for you!

- 1 lemon, peeled
- Small handful cilantro
- 1 chard leaf
- ½ red apple (optional)
How to make:
Juice ingredients and enjoy!
Note: Makes one 8 – 12 oz juice
10. Spring Cleaning Detox
If you haven’t discovered flax seeds, here’s a good place to start. They provide omega-3s to help fight inflammation, and can help regulate your digestion so you’re able to be more regular, which is a huge boon to your detoxification plan. Apples, carrots, and ginger root lend a hand to make this a pretty potent cocktail as far as cleaning you out and giving you some nice nutrients to replace the harmful substances you’ll hopefully be getting rid of.
Feast your eyes on this cup of possibility! All you need to enjoy the benefits of this little wonder is a blender and a few simple.
- 1 teaspoon of whole flax seeds
- 1 red apple, peeled and sliced
- 8 snack-sized peeled carrots (or 2 normal carrots, peeled and chopped).\
- 1/4 inch nub of fresh ginger root, skin removed. (should be moist)
- 1 cup of lukewarm water.
How to make:
- Soaking your flaxseeds & making flaxseed water.
Gandhi once said that “Wherever flax seed becomes a regular food item among the people, there will be better health.”
This is true because flax seeds are packed with the fiber, antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals needed for a happy and healthy life!
Just one teaspoon of flax seed added to one cup of lukewarm water will release the slippery mucilage necessary to
gently shed toxins through a natural laxative process.
The seeds need to soak for a half hour to begin this process and once in the system, you will experience their glorious efforts 20-40 minutes later. You will know that you have successfully created flaxseed water when the water above the seeds appears to have a film and the seeds have become gooey.
WARNING: Don’t try this if you have somewhere important to be within the hour or will be driving a long distance. These seeds are small, but mighty. After the above description, I shouldn’t have to say more.
- Blending the ingredients. Throw your peeled & chopped carrots into your blender or magic bullet followed by your peeled and sliced red apple, and your quarter-inch long nub of your freshly peeled ginger root.
- Pour the water and seeds into the blender (you might need to use a spoon to transfer the gooey seeds!) and start blending!
Enjoy. Swirl lightly and breath in deeply, inhaling the brilliant mixture of ginger, carrot, and apple before sipping slowly from your cup or through your straw. Simply inhaling the scent of this health-promoting masterpiece will make you feel revitalized. Within the hour, the flax seeds should do their job, helping you to shed toxins miraculously and gently… leaving you feeling lighter, cleaner, and ready to conquer your day!
Let me know how this works out for you!
